Maureen Duke has been bookbinding for over 50 years. She is well known internationally as a forward thinking advocate of craft bookbinding and was Chairman of the Society of Bookbinders. Maureen retired as Course Director from the bookbinding and book conversation courses at West Dean college, and a few years ago became involved with the European Art Conversation Trust. She works with the Society of Archivists and other professional organizations, and has recently been elected as President of the Society of Bookbinders.
